Houthi embargo on Saudi-linked shipping
The Houthis declared an immediate embargo against Saudi-linked shipping on 20 July and subsequently described selective targeting and attacks on named vessels. JMIC assessed the continuing selective policy on 27 September; continuing transit and an attack-free reporting window do not establish an end. The condition concerns the Saudi-linked component and does not turn coastal or island control into closure of all Bab el-Mandeb shipping.
