What this is

The World Radar is a geopolitical conflict monitor: a world map that orients from afar and tells the story up close. It is a personal, non-commercial project operated from Spain, reachable at [email protected]. Using the site means accepting these terms; if you do not accept them, close the tab and nothing is left behind.

What is on the map, and how to tell

This is the most important line on this page. The map carries two kinds of content — incidents reported and published by the editorial desk, and fictional seed content written to exercise the interface — and the map itself tells you which is which. Seed events are marked Fictional seed on their own row, in their detail and on their map preview; the map key states the mix currently plotted, and while any of it is invented the chrome carries a standing notice at every zoom level.

This page does not restate that mix, because it changes between publications and a document that goes stale in silence is worse than no document. Read the key. What holds in every state is this: nothing here is a source of record. Do not quote, cite, forward as reporting, or act on anything on this map as though it settled a question about the world.

What not to use it for

Even once the content is real, this is a reading instrument and not an authority. The World Radar is not intelligence, not a warning system, and not advice — operational, navigational, safety, military, financial, insurance or legal. Do not use it to make a decision that affects anyone’s safety or money. Probability readings are editorial judgements published by people, not forecasts produced by a model, and the activity curve measures what has been published here, not tension in the world.

No warranty, and no promise of uptime

The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind: no guarantee that it is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose. It may be slow, wrong, offline, or changed without notice, and there is no service level behind it. Anything you build on top of it, you build on those terms.

Accounts

An account is optional and unlocks nothing — the map is identical without one. If you choose to create one:

• You must be at least 14 (the age of digital consent in Spain), or older if your country sets a higher age.
• Use an address you control. A sign-in link is a credential: anyone who can read your mailbox can open your account, and we cannot tell the difference.
• One address, one account. Do not create accounts for addresses that are not yours.
• You can delete the account at any time from your account page. It goes immediately and completely — see the privacy policy.

An account being used to abuse the service can be disabled or deleted without notice. That is the only reason we would ever touch one.

Using the site fairly

Please do not:

• Attack the service, or try to reach the editorial and administrative surfaces, which are not public.
• Hammer it. There is a rate limit; automated traffic that trips it will be refused, and traffic that persists will be blocked.
• Scrape it wholesale, or republish the database as a product of your own.
• Present the content as something it is not — in particular, do not strip an event of its marks and pass seed content off as reporting, or reporting off as verified when the mark says it is disputed.
• Use it to harass anyone, or to break the law where you are.

What belongs to whom

The design of the map, its visual language, the event signatures and the written editorial content are the operator’s work. You are welcome to link to the site and to quote it with attribution; you may not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.

The map is built on work that belongs to other people, under their own terms:

• Base map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License, served by OpenFreeMap.
• Night-lights imagery courtesy of NASA EOSDIS GIBS.
• Terrain elevation from the Terrarium tile set on the AWS Open Data registry.
• Embedded posts and video remain the property of their authors and of the platforms that host them, and are shown through those platforms’ own embed players under their terms.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from anything you decided on the basis of what it showed you, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Spanish law — fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence — nor any right you have as a consumer.

Changes, and stopping

These terms can change; the date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance. The service itself can change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn entirely — it is a personal project, and it carries no promise of permanence. You can stop using it at any moment, and delete your account with it.

Which law applies

Spanish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you keep the right to bring proceedings before your local courts.
