LIGA.net reported on 3 September 2026 that a spokesperson for Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited said Russia attacked the company’s plant in the Brovary district of Kyiv Oblast, and that a massive fire broke out on the premises in Velyka Dymerka after a direct hit. UkrMedia places the plant at 1 Ukrainska Street in Velyka Dymerka. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed in his evening address that Russians struck the Coca-Cola plant with a drone and called it a signal to America because it is an American company (LIGA.net). Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, told the Kyiv Independent the production site near Brovary was damaged in a drone strike and that all employees were safe. LIGA.net noted that Ukrainian authorities and the State Emergency Service had not issued their own account of Brovary-district strike consequences that day.

Why it matters

A named strike on Coca-Cola’s only Ukrainian bottling plant, confirmed by the company and by Zelenskyy as a Shahed-type drone hit on a U.S. firm, extends Russia’s early-September campaign from housing and logistics into a high-profile foreign industrial site on Kyiv’s eastern approaches.
