Palestine's Health Ministry and WAFA reported on 2 October 2026 that Bahaa (Baha) Sami Amin al-Natsheh, 19, from Kafr Aqab near Jerusalem, died from critical gunshot wounds in Kobar (Kober), north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. WAFA and the Health Ministry attribute the shooting to Israeli colonists or settlers, while Kobar's mayor told AFP that the army fired after settlers attacked youths at a gate erected by settlers; the two accounts conflict and the shooter is not settled. PRCS said Israeli forces prevented medics from reaching the casualties, and the Palestinian Authority said the body was withheld. Quds News relayed the Health Ministry death notice at about 18:12 UTC.

WAFA, the Palestinian Health Ministry, Anadolu Agency and Quds News agree on the death, the age and the location. Accounts conflict over the shooter: WAFA and the Health Ministry name Israeli colonists or settlers, while Kobar's mayor told AFP that the army fired after settlers attacked youths at a settler-erected gate, so the attribution is not settled. The account that medics were prevented from reaching the casualties comes from PRCS, and the Palestinian Authority said the body was withheld.
