DropSite News named the two killed as Majdi al-Ayoubi and Hussam Abu al-Atta. On 9 October the Israeli military said it had struck and eliminated Hassam Walid Hassan Abu Al-Ata, whom it called a commander in the Islamic Jihad military wing's rocket unit, and Magdi Moein Yousef Al-Ayoubi, an Islamic Jihad operative, in Gaza City on Thursday, accusing them of advancing attacks on its troops in violation of the ceasefire. The IDF statement does not give the location of the strike; the match rests on the shared names and date.
