Malian newsroom Malijet posted on 4 October at about 17:31 UTC that the armed forces had destroyed a terrorist base with armoured vehicles south of Koutiala, and linked its article. The article, which this audit opened and read, reports by communique from the general staff that the strike was carried out on Saturday 3 October 2026, about 40 kilometres south of Koutiala in the Sikasso region, against several fortified positions of armed terrorist groups that held war materiel including numerous armoured vehicles, with surveillance and reconnaissance continuing. The claim comes from a Malijet report of an official communique; no independent confirmation or further operational detail was found.
