CENTCOM said two US service members were killed in action and another was missing after Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base near Azraq, Jordan, on 17 July; open-source reporting the next day placed ballistic launches in the Khomein / Markazi area of western Iran toward that base.
US Central Command announced the casualties on 18 July 2026, attributing the 17 July attack to Iranian ballistic missiles and drones at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base (Azraq). Anadolu Agency the same day amplified open-source footage of ballistic launches from the Khomein area in western Iran (Markazi Province) aimed at that base — enough for an estimated provincial-scale origin, not a national centroid. Exact pad coordinates and a full battle-damage assessment of the base are not claimed. This is the first real-corpus strike-route pilot (ADR-0035).

CENTCOM confirmed US fatalities and missing status; base naming and identities via US press. Origin is estimated from Anadolu/OSINT launch-area reporting (Khomein / Markazi), not a geolocated pad.
