The Kherson regional administration said a Ukrainian delegation reached Russian-occupied Oleshky safely on 30 October, with the local ceasefire in its 80th hour. Later that day it said a humanitarian operation was under way: aid had been delivered to the town and transport prepared for residents wishing to leave for Ukrainian-controlled territory, with Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets coordinating on the Ukrainian side. On 29 October it had said mine clearance of the agreed routes was complete and the convoy was ready. The administration said the mission was agreed with Russia’s human-rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova, with US First Lady Melania Trump mediating. It did not say how many people left.
