On 19 September 2026 at about 18:00 Kyiv (≈15:00 UTC), a Russian strike hit the Novyi Kontynent (Новий Континент) shopping mall in Dnipro’s Peremoha residential area, causing a fire and blowing out windows in nearby houses. Dnipropetrovsk OVA head Oleksandr Hanzha initially reported two injured as of ~18:32 Kyiv; mayor Borys Filatov and Suspilne Dnipro covered the scene. UNN (~22:22 Kyiv) and RBC-Ukraine (~23:09 Kyiv) identify the struck mall as Novyi Kontynent; Hanzha published photos of that mall on fire. An earlier Ukrinform/Hanzha day rollup (20:10 Kyiv) named a 59-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman among Dnipro injured (moderate). Ukrinform’s consolidating EN wire (23:58 Kyiv / 20:58 UTC) then reported Hanzha raising the shopping-mall injury toll to four (Facebook) and subsequently to five (Telegram dnipropetrovskaODA/32151), with a 22-year-old woman among those seeking outpatient care (UNN). Distinct from Nikopol-district daytime casualties (evt_9d9321d6) and from LIVE Zaporizhzhia FPV truck evt_9c8c60af.

Why it matters

UNN and RBC-Ukraine name the struck facility as Novyi Kontynent shopping mall (not a generic ‘Peremoha shopping center’), while keeping the Hanzha/Ukrinform five-injured toll already on LIVE r3 — a material site-identity correction for the map and catalog.
