Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran to discuss a phased framework for a temporary joint navigation corridor through the Strait of Hormuz and agreed to implement a joint project to clear the strait of mines.
The two ministers described the framework as "a practical and implementable basis for moving forward" and said technical negotiations would continue toward a permanent corridor and a mechanism for exchanging information and managing navigation traffic. Albusaidi said he hoped the temporary corridor would be announced soon and that "future management of the strait and a permanent solution will follow in due course". Oman is not a seeded actor in this theatre, so its role is recorded in the copy and the claims rather than as a participant.
