Houthi military media released footage on 14 October 2026, reposted by Yahya Saree, that it said shows Houthi forces expelling “Saudi enemy” mobilisations at Dhubab airport on Yemen’s western coast, burning and seizing vehicles and capturing fighters. The footage does not date the fighting. An Iran-aligned OSINT account separately described footage as clashes while pro-Saudi forces tried to take the Bab al-Mandeb area and Houthis fired from the mountains. A Middle East Eye live update published on 15 October reported government-allied forces saying they were repelling a Houthi attack on the airport; the post gives no date for that clash, so it is unclear whether it describes the same engagement. The competing claims are not independently verified here; no casualty figures or prisoner count were given. A government-aligned report of a Houthi advance on the airport on 11 October (evt_c00843cf) remains a separate earlier report.

Houthi military media released the original footage on 14 October but did not state when the fighting took place. A Middle East Eye live update on 15 October says government-allied forces were repelling a Houthi attack at Dhubab airport but does not date the clash or establish whether it was the same engagement. The competing claims remain attributed and unverified; the Houthi footage has not been independently geolocated here.
