Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its Aerospace Force, operating within the country's integrated air defense network, intercepted and destroyed an MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz (initial claim ~06:12 UTC 14 September 2026 via IRNA/Clash Report/Osint613). On 15 September IRNA English and Press TV said a fourth MQ-1 in recent days had been intercepted over the eastern Strait of Hormuz by a new IRGC Aerospace Force air-defense system. In the afternoon of 15 September (~14:37–14:42Z), Clash Report and Osint613 said Iran/IRGC claimed a third U.S. MQ-1 shootdown over Hormuz the same day using an IRGC Aerospace air-defense system — a successive same-day claim counted within 15 Sep rather than the multi-day serial. Independent confirmation of any loss, and of whether airframes were U.S.- or UAE-operated, remains unavailable; no CENTCOM acknowledgment located.
