The International Organization for Migration reported that nearly 86,000 people have been displaced by the recent fighting in Yemen, with more than 2,000 of them reaching Djibouti. The prime minister of Yemen's internationally recognised government accused the Houthis of killing and displacing civilians during their rapid advance. The figure is a movement count and is not broken down by governorate of origin.

Why it matters

Displacement is the cleanest published indicator of where the west-coast front is actually moving, because it is counted by an agency that is not a belligerent.
