The Cradle reported in a post published at 09:53 UTC on 7 October 2026 that Israeli settlers accompanied by occupation forces opened fire on Palestinians harvesting olives in the Sahl Ramin and Burqa plain in northern Nablus in the occupied West Bank, killing Ali Hassan Yosr al-Bazzari, aged 44, and injuring 16 others, according to WAFA. The same post said the Palestinian Red Crescent treated at least two people in critical condition after gunshot wounds and that others were beaten, including at least one woman. An account posting from settler sources described a different account of the same grove, with a shepherd stoned and Israeli troops firing to disperse a crowd. The report concerns one side's account of the incident, which is disputed by the other.

Attributed to WAFA and the Palestinian Red Crescent through The Cradle, with a contrary account from settler sources.

Evidence: The Cradle report of a Palestinian olive harvester killed near Burqa and Ramin in northern Nablus, Account drawing on settler sources of the same olive grove incident near Burqa and Ramin

The casualty figures and the account of the shooting come from The Cradle citing WAFA and the Palestinian Red Crescent. No WAFA report or Red Crescent statement was read directly for this report. A separate account drawing on settler sources described the same grove differently, with the stones thrown first and Israeli troops firing afterwards, so the sequence of the incident is disputed.
