In a video message on 14 September 2026 the Israeli prime minister said Israel had achieved another huge victory over Hezbollah and that it had destroyed the group's great terror stronghold on the Beaufort ridge and the Ali Taher ridge. He set out the policy: Israel will continue to destroy terror infrastructure in what he called the security zone in Lebanon and will continue to remove any threat to Israel. No independent damage assessment of either ridge has been published.
