Al-Masirah reported at 02:04 UTC on 7 October 2026 that Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the Houthi armed forces spokesman, said the armed forces had shot down a Saudi armed reconnaissance aircraft of the CH-4 type while it was carrying out hostile missions in the skies of Al Jawf governorate, and that the targeting was carried out with a suitable weapon. A second Al-Masirah post at 02:22 UTC the same day repeated the same two points, that a Saudi CH-4 armed reconnaissance aircraft was downed over Al Jawf during hostile missions and that the operation used a suitable weapon. The claim comes from the Houthi military spokesman and was not confirmed by Saudi Arabia in the material reviewed. The post carries a still image which does not show the location of the shoot-down itself.

Single-origin claim by the Houthi military spokesman; no Saudi confirmation was available in the reviewed material.

Evidence: Al-Masirah post relaying the Houthi military spokesman's claim of downing a Saudi CH-4 over Al Jawf, Al-Masirah follow-up post repeating the Houthi armed forces spokesman's claim of downing a Saudi CH-4 over Al Jawf

Claim by the Houthi armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree, relayed by Al-Masirah in two posts of 7 October 2026 that repeat the same statement; they are one origin and not independent corroboration. No Saudi confirmation was available in the material reviewed. Neither post dates the shoot-down, and the posts do not link this claim to the CH-4 reported over Al Jawf on 7 September 2026, so the two are separate published claims rather than a confirmed single or distinct incident. The post shows a still image that does not depict the place of the shoot-down, so the image is not offered as evidence of the location.
