Iran regional confrontation

War Monitor3 reports heavy explosions on Iran's Qeshm Island

This version is a correction.

ASSESSMENT
Location
Qeshm Island, Strait of Hormuz; the post names only the island and gives no coordinates or point of impact
Importance
Standard

In a post published on 4 October 2026 at about 17:42 UTC, the account @WarMonitor3 wrote only: "Heavy Explosions on Qeshm Island Iran." The post gives no hour, no cause, no damage and no vessel, and it carries no media. The day is taken from the publication time of the post alone; the post does not say when the explosions were heard. The account gives no explanation and no attribution for them, so cause and origin are unknown; an unrelated earlier set of explosion reports near Qeshm on 28 September 2026 is already recorded and is not treated as the same occurrence.

Why it matters

A terse report of explosions on an island inside the Strait of Hormuz during the current Iran-US confrontation is worth recording as an unverified report, even without cause, so that a later corroborated incident can be related to it.

Verification: unverified

Evidence: War Monitor3: Heavy Explosions on Qeshm Island Iran.

Single three-word X post with no media, no time and no stated cause or origin; nothing in it is independently corroborated. Recorded as a report only.
