Russia struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles late on 13 October 2026. Mayor Vitali Klitschko later said 21 people were injured in Desnianskyi district, including an eight-year-old child, with 16 hospitalized (four in serious condition, per The Kyiv Independent), and that the body of another person was found in the damaged building, bringing the reported death toll to two. Suspilne also reported a burning warehouse building in the district and drone debris falling on a stadium in Darnytskyi district, setting the grass alight.
