Belgorod governor Alexander Shuvaev said on 4 October 2026 that Ukrainian attacks over the past day left three people dead and 12 injured, including four children, in the Belgorod, Grayvoron and Shebekino districts. Of the dead, he said one civilian was killed during an attack in Grayvoron district, a woman badly wounded the previous evening in the city of Belgorod died in hospital, and a man wounded in Krasnoyaruzhsky district on 16 September also died in hospital. Izvestia carried that breakdown. Current Time and dpa reported the same three deaths and 12 injuries. The regional operations staff separately said a man died when an FPV drone hit a truck in Maslova Pristan, in Shebekino district. Those reports do not say whether that death is the one counted in Grayvoron or a further death. Shuvaev also said the region had been hit by 182 drones, 11 dropped explosives and eight artillery attacks.

Why it matters

The figure of three dead is a day-long tally of a new death and two hospital deaths, one of them from a wound received on 16 September. It is not three people killed in a single strike on 4 October.
