Ukraine’s General Staff (X, 22 Sep 2026 ~08:30Z) officially confirmed that on 21 Sep Defence Forces struck an attack-UAV storage, preparation and launch site near Tsymbulova (Tsymbulovo) in Oryol Oblast. BDA in the same statement: at least three UAV storage buildings were hit and caught fire; a jet-powered UAV launch site and five launchers were damaged. NOELreports restated the BDA in English (~08:33Z). This upgrades the 21 Sep UNITED24 Media / Militarnyi satellite-imagery reporting (bunker breaches, hangar damage, Geran-family storage) with official UA attribution and quantified damage. Exact munition count and strike clock time remain unpublished; do not conflate with the ~30 Aug 2026 strike at the same site. No civilian casualty figures in these sources.
Why it matters
Satellite-backed hit on a dedicated Russian strike-drone base deep in Oryol Oblast — logistics node for Geran-class UAVs.
Verification: Probable
Evidence: General Staff confirms strike on Tsymbulova attack-UAV storage/launch site in Oryol Oblast, GSUA: Tsymbulova UAV site — ≥3 storage buildings fire; jet launch pad + 5 launchers damaged, Ukraine Breaches Bunkers at Russian Droneport Built to Store and Launch Strike UAVs, Ukrainian drones struck bunkers and hangars of the Tsimbulova drone base in Oryol region, Strike on Tsimbulova drone base in Russia
PROBABLE: General Staff official confirm (22 Sep ~08:30Z) of 21 Sep Tsymbulova attack-UAV site strike with BDA (≥3 UAV storage buildings fire; jet UAV launch site + five launchers damaged), plus NOEL English restatement; prior UNITED24/Militarnyi satellite imagery (21 Sep) already showed bunker penetration/hangar damage. Exact munition count and clock time unpublished; do not conflate with Aug 30 strike; GSUA attached media is photo not native video.
