Meduza reported on 15 October, citing CNN and an unnamed source familiar with the situation, that Ukraine had run out of U.S.-made Patriot missiles; the source said Ukrainian forces intercepted almost none during a ballistic attack overnight into 14 October because they lacked interceptors. The Kyiv Independent later reported that the Washington Post, citing a Ukrainian official, said only “a couple” remained after an October 7 supply of ten was depleted in Russian attacks on Kyiv; it also relayed CNN’s claim that the stock had completely run dry and said it could not verify the remaining number. These are separate attributed reports, not a quantitative range or a verified stock count.
