On the morning of 18 September 2026, a Russian Geran-type strike drone hit an electric commuter train at or near Lypkuvativka station in Kharkiv Oblast’s Novovodolaha community, killing one civilian and injuring about eight others. Kharkiv regional prosecutors cited a Geran-4; Governor Oleh Syniehubov and Ukrzaliznytsia reported the casualties.
