Kuwait’s defence ministry said armed forces detected and destroyed hostile Iranian drones in Kuwaiti airspace from dawn on 1 August, after attacks that hit a northern government facility and civilian company vehicles on Bubiyan Island; shrapnel caused material damage with no injuries reported.

Kuwait Army GHQ statement 82 (Col. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan) and regional wires reported Iranian drones engaged since dawn Saturday 1 August 2026. Kuwait attributed the strikes to Iran and said falling debris damaged a government facility in the north and civilian vehicles on Bubiyan Island. Kuwait did not publicly link the Saturday wave to U.S. basing; earlier Iranian claims (April) had framed Bubiyan as a U.S. relocation site. Kuwait is not a seeded theatre actor—participants are limited to Iran (initiator) and the United States (affected regional campaign party hosting forces in Kuwait per prior open reporting).
