A building in Russian-occupied Donetsk housing telecommunications companies was damaged in a strike overnight into 20 October 2026, according to footage geolocated by GeoConfirmed, which identified it as the building of LLC FTIKOM and said it reportedly houses the operator Promtelecom and coal-industry companies; an OSINT account that geolocated the damage described it as the result of a Ukrainian attack. Separately, Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, said the Ugletelecom and Elecom data centre at 60 Postysheva Street, run by backbone communications operators in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast, was attacked overnight and 'no longer exists', Ukrinform reported. The sources read do not confirm that both describe the same building, and the weapon was not stated. No Ukrainian military or Russian-installed authority statement on the strike was read.
