On the morning of 20 September 2026, a Palestinian gunman opened fire from a vehicle on Israelis at a natural spring near Neve Tzuf (Halamish), killing an Israeli man. Victim naming conflicts across outlets: VINnews named Netanel Yehonatan Shalabia, while Times of Israel (liveblog ~13:11Z and feature) plus the Samaria Regional Council / Yossi Dagan named Netanel Shukrun of Alei Zahav settlement — married to Meirav, father of six. The shooter fled on foot still armed; Israeli forces later arrested a wounded suspect at H-Clinic Specialized Hospital on Al-Irsal Street in Ramallah (WAFA 174915; Reuters; Al Jazeera). Afternoon follow-up: the suspect is named Qadri Samara, a freed prisoner from Biddu — Jerusalem Governorate / Anadolu Arabic via Yenisafak and Israeli media (Army Radio via JPost: 37yo, prepared the site Saturday). Sunday evening, forces surrounded Abdullah bin Jaber Mosque in Biddu during Asr and entered neighborhoods with heavy APCs; WAFA 174926 and AA/Yenisafak eyewitnesses allege beatings of worshippers, stun grenades and tear gas, plus a raid on Qadri Samara's home. JPost (~16:57 IL) said the IDF was preparing a mass-arrest operation in Biddu and mapping homes for demolition; Chief Zamir ordered a closure and to reach anyone who assisted. Hamas praised the attack as a response to Al-Aqsa incursions without issuing a formal claim. Prime Minister Netanyahu had already ordered the suspect's home demolished (Al Jazeera). Distinct from the later Ganim/Jenin alleged-ramming killing — do not merge.
