Early on Monday 7 September 2026, an Israeli strike hit a civilian vehicle in Kfar Rumman, Nabatieh governorate, killing two Risala Scout Association paramedics, Ali Shahrour and Hadi Farhat. Lebanon's National News Agency said an Israeli drone targeted the car carrying the two medics. Anadolu Agency's earlier Al Mayadeen-cited report had named only Shahrour killed with two injured; NNA, Anadolu's Turkish wrap, and Reuters syndications later aligned on two medics/rescuers killed in the vehicle strand, distinct from the same-night residential building massacre in the town (separate event). MoH/NNA naming lifts the prior unverified 1K/2inj snapshot. Lebanon's MoPH Monday EOC later confirmed a vehicle strike that killed one Risala Scouts paramedic and injured two — a figure conflict with NNA's two named dead medics that is noted but not used to drop either name.

Why it matters

NNA naming of both Risala Scouts medics killed in the Kfar Rumman vehicle strike upgrades a soft 1K/2inj wire snapshot to a two-fatality medic-vehicle atomic, still distinct from the same-night Farhat residential building strike.

NNA names Risala Scouts medics Ali Shahrour and Hadi Farhat killed when an Israeli drone struck their civilian car in Kfar Rumman; AA Turkish and Reuters/AFP syndications report two medics/rescuers killed in the vehicle strand. Earlier AA English/Al Mayadeen had 1K/2inj naming only Shahrour — superseded for fatality count by NNA. Mechanism: NNA says drone; earlier IMLebanon said warplanes — recorded as drone per NNA. Distinct from Farhat residential building 9K/5inj and from 4 Sep motorcycle evt. Exact street unpublished; town-level point. MoPH Monday EOC (MoPH site + NNA) confirms a vehicle strike in Kfar Rumman that killed one Al-Risala Scouts paramedic and injured two Risala members — conflicting with NNA/Reuters naming two dead medics (Ali Shahrour and Hadi Farhat). Atomic count stays at NNA-named 2K pending reconciliation; do not drop Hadi Farhat.
