The merchant vessel Azov Concord sank after being struck by a drone about 17 nautical miles east of Krapets, on Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast, on 13 October 2026, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev said at an extraordinary Security Council meeting, according to Novinite and The Sofia Globe. One crew member was rescued, with another ship helping in the rescue; Bulgarian officials said the crew complement and the fate of others aboard were not yet known. The Sofia Globe described the ship as Turkish-owned. Radev said there was no clear evidence to attribute the drones to any country, but that logic indicated the outcome favoured Russia, and he summoned Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova. Ukraine's foreign minister Andrii Sybiha blamed Russia, Suspilne reported. The same night the Ukrainian-owned Chelsea 3 was hit off Byala (see related event). The pin is an estimate placed 17 nautical miles east of Krapets.
