Ukrinform reported that Russian forces attacked critical infrastructure in Oleksandriia, Kirovohrad region, on the morning of 7 October 2026. Serhii Kuzmenko, head of the Oleksandriia community, said in a Facebook post that during a massive attack in the morning the enemy struck critical infrastructure in Oleksandriia, that there were injured people and that an emergency medical team had been dispatched to them, with three rescue units dealing with the aftermath and the information being clarified. The same article reported that Andrii Raikovych, head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, said on Telegram that one person had been killed and three injured, with two other people unreachable. A later Ukrinform report of 12:58 EEST on 7 October carries Raikovych's updated balance: two people killed and three wounded, with one other person still unaccounted for. That later report also cites the State Emergency Service in the Kirovohrad region saying an industrial facility caught fire due to the shelling, that an industrial facility was damaged at one site with a fire covering an area of 2,000 square metres, and that fires were also reported at two other locations. Both balances come from the Oleksandriia shelling and no other locality is involved.
