On the afternoon of 9 September a Russian drone crashed on warehouses near the Komfort-Town residential complex in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district and started a fire, Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the city military administration said. Early reports that it had hit a high-rise were corrected within minutes: the fire was in a warehouse building. The capital-wide injury tally rose to nine, which includes the morning strike on a Darnytskyi high-rise and is not a count for this site.

Ukrainska Pravda, citing Klitschko, the Kyiv City Military Administration and sources at the complex, placed the crash on warehouses next to Komfort-Town. Klitschko’s 13:27 update said a fire had broken out in a warehouse after a UAV fell in the Dniprovskyi district. The Kyiv Independent carried the same correction and the nine-injured city figure. No address for the warehouse, and no casualty figure for this site, has been published. Debris fires in Darnytskyi the same afternoon are a separate report.

Why it matters

The morning high-rise strike was not the last drone of the day. Hitting warehouses beside a named residential complex in the early afternoon is the air campaign still running after the capital pause, in daylight, on the left bank.

Verification: Probable

Evidence: Russian drone lands in Dniprovskyi district in Kyiv: number injured in capital rises to nine, Russia resumes drone attacks on Kyiv, injures 9, damages residential buildings

Klitschko and the city military administration corrected the first high-rise report to a warehouse fire. Ukrainska Pravda names Komfort-Town from sources at the complex; the warehouse address is unpublished. Do not treat the city’s nine injured as casualties of this site — that tally includes the morning Darnytskyi strike.
