A Russian drone struck the central park of Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv Oblast, on 19 October 2026 while it was crowded with people, including families with children, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov and Ukraine's Interior Ministry said. According to the governor's refined figures, six people were killed, two children and four adults: women aged 28, 34 and 36, a man of about 40, and girls aged 11 and about one year; 15 people were injured, seven of them children. An earlier update from the governor had put the number of children killed at three. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Shahed struck people in a park near a cafe, that the infant, Angelina, born in August 2025, was killed in her stroller and that her mother Inna died in hospital; he put the number injured at 14, including six children. Law enforcement officials said a Geran-3 drone was used, Ukrinform reported, and the local police chief told Suspilne the drone circled over the area several times before hitting a tree near a cafe. No Russian Defence Ministry statement on the incident was read.
