On 28 Sep 2026 the Ukrainian Third Army Corps said that in Operation Vivaldi’s third phase it liberated the villages of Nove, Ridkodub and Katerynivka in northern Donetsk Oblast and also returned Karpivka and Novomykhailivka to Ukrainian control, reclaiming about 51 km² this phase and about 176 km² since the operation began (Suspilne ~07:06Z; Mezha ~07:16Z). Corps commander Andrii Biletskyi said the key objective was Nove and its surrounding heights after Russian reserves were fixed on the Shandryholove–Zelena Dolyna axis. Independent visual confirmation of the new front line is not in this wire set — treat as UA claim (probable).
