The US military said its reimposed naval blockade against Iran continued, with a dozen commercial ships redirected, two disabled and two boarded, while air strikes remained paused.

CBS News on 26 July 2026 relayed a US military update raising enforcement figures above the mid-campaign tally recorded on 20 July (seven redirected, one disabled). Boardings include the Charminar action tracked separately. ISW assessed the same weekend that Washington maintained the port blockade while pausing air strikes. This package is a blockade status update during the strike pause, not a claim that Hormuz commercial traffic had normalized.
